Welcome to our blog. This blog is purposely created for writing a post. Significantly to our BBI requirement. We do enjoy a lot writing for this blog. Furthermore these tasks never burden us at all.
This week, DKHP’s students were given a task to write something about custom. It can be the clothes, the wedding ceremonies or etc. But the first thing that appears in my mind about custom is about people believe. After I have discussion and conversation with my blogmates we agreed to write something about SUPERSTITIOUS! as our theme.
What do you actually understand about superstitious? Superstitious is a belief of a group of people, tribes or races toward something that can’t be accepted with our logic-thinking. That was a brief explanation of mine, regarding the concept of superstitious.
Nowadays, people still believe about superstitious. This is some of the superstitious acts that will happen:
* When someone fails in love/marriage/studies, they believe someone practiced black
magic on them that causes the failure.
* Some women believes that if they throw some salt before cooking or goop while
boiling garlic, the food apparently will be quite delicious! Yummy...Im getting
hungry right now.
* When you get an itch in your left hand that means you’re getting some money from
someone! Hey! I got itch a lot, sometimes for the rest of my body, but why do I still
broke?! Lol !!
This actually some of the beliefs that still is being practiced nowadays. But, the most interesting part of superstitious is about the Egyptian, by the way the treat cats somehow, it seems like they worshiping them.
Each rich ancient Egyptians do mummified their cats. His head was encased in a rough kind of papier-mâché and covered with linen and painted, even gilt sometimes, and the ears always carefully picked up. The mummy might be enclosed in bronze boz with bronze cat statue on top of it.
If the cat dies in a private house by a natural death, all the residents will shoved their eyebrows.
Also, when a cat died, a wise Egyptian tried to be someplace else, so that he couldn’t be blame for its murder. This entire act happens due to their beliefs that their God supposedly changed himself into cat to do battle with the serpent-like darkness.
What do you think? Do you still believe in superstitious? For sure, I trust none of this at all. I rather to give my faith fully towards my religions than having trust into something that being created by our own races. Think about it!!
